I’ve had the pleasure of creating a piece for the Urban Museum‘s Nina Simone mural installation. The project was based on her song “ I wish I knew how it would feel to be free” and the artists got to choose to either interpret the song or depict what their meaning of freedom is. I featured my beautiful grandma as my muse where she is in a calm space free from the capitalist pressures of working to survive.
The mural is currently located in Salem Massachusetts and will be there until the fall of 2021.
